SA runs with no problems but when a vorbishook is in use, the game refuses to start. So I suppose, the problem is the ASI loader Im using. I disabled the Anti Virus Software. The SA game folder is not write protected. PC specs are much higher than needed. Google told me a few things I could try, but nothing worked out yet. - Adding gta_sa.exe to the Data Execution Prevention (DEP) list. - Running gta_sa.exe with administrative privileges. - Enabling compatibility mode (Win98/XP.SP2/XP.SP3) I also tryed some EXE versions... - 1.0 HOODLUM (US/ALL) - 1.0 Compact - 1.0 Shark and Stefan188 in different combination with some ASI Loaders. - Delfi's (Jernej L.) ASI Loader - listener's ASI Loader - And the one which comes whith CLEO 4 Anyone knows a workaround? -------------------- |

One almost clean, apart from Vigilante Justice and a few other things, which I use for developing VJ so I can be sure other mods aren't messing with it. An installation which is modded with no limitations and a completely clean installation (SAMP is installed, but nothing big is changed by that). Whenever I want a new installation to work with, I copy the clean installation, remove SAMP and start working. I did have a load of problems when I first installed SA on Win 7. Try installing SA somewhere outside of your "Program Files" folders. I also disabled UAC (although probably not fully relevant to SA working) and set compatibility mode for Windows XP, although now I am able to run SA fine with no compatibility settings at all. Perhaps Windows updates helped... -------------------- | CLEO 4.3.22 | A?i?a?o?3D | UI SDK | Black Market Mod 1.0.1 | GInput 0.3 | Cheat Keyboard | Tactile Cheat Activation | Stream Ini Extender 0.7 | SuperVars | ScrDebug | Vigilante Justice: San Andreas | |

But I also even tryed starting SA from the "Programs" and "Programs(x86)" folders. Updates might help, but this PC is verry far away from the internet, so it might take a while until I will be able to test after Win7 & DX updates are installed offline. But this will be my next try. Thank you. ![]() -------------------- |

It's strange to me why others have reported compatibility problems with Windows 7 when I've only encountered x64 vs x86 compatibility problems occasionally (and those problems only arise when I've tried to use outdated/obsolete software I randomly find). On a side note, I usually install games to D:\Program Files\ ![]() -------------------- ![]() |

Thanks again. @Adler When installing big programs on D:, it should be a partition of the same HDD where C: is located on. Otherwise it needs some more time to transfere data to the pagefile. Man, I'm sooo leet. ![]() -------------------- |

When trying to activate it via menu, it falls back to "OFF". Anyone using UltraThing with full funcionalty on Win7? -------------------- |
