While I have several addresses that I would like to know, I neither possess the mental capacity nor the average attention span required in order to search for them. Is it possible to employ the services of the esteemed memory hunters of San Andreas for this task? Here are the memory addresses that I would like to find out:

  • Switching off 1st person (for sniper and RPG/Heatseek)
  • Whatever prevents firing with sniper and RPG/Heatseek in 3rd person
  • Territory Color RGBA

There's more on my wishlist but those are the only ones that I can remember as of now. dry.gif

Is it possible to find the addresses for these?

lol They've already been found?? I need a checkup on my short-term memory as it seems to be non-functional lately. sleep.gif

Also, I think you should organize all the addresses in the topic into the first post otherwise surfing through all those pages will be very tiresome... or give me MOD POWAS SO I CAN HAS DOES IT MYSELF! tongue.gif

There's already a database of addresses for SA... http://public.sannybuilder.com/gtasa_exe_idb/

That's how useful addresses are found, most documentation is made and where to store new found addresses. It's really impossible to compile a complete list of this stuff (size of gta_sa.exe == amount of addresses).

I've tried to make it. But had too much problems...

But
Can't it switch off through .dat file?

I don't think so. I tried changing the anim in default.ide and weapon.dat to something else but the camera still switches to 1st person. :/

It can be done via .dat editing. Byt you can't fire in that mode. So you need to create a rocket yourself. Or create an unvisible ped that will fire with rocket. But that's not main.
Is it real to change that offset of camera? (Change Z-rotation constant, or something):

Oh wow it's actually possible? Hmmm I just changed some things in weapon.dat and it actually works except where you're aiming is blocked by the RPG itself. And Ryosuke's missile mod lets you fire with it (but not like a true RPG). tongue.gif

Errr not sure what you're asking here... but you changed the camera while aiming the RPG? It looks nice! biggrin.gif

Second screen is from GTA4.
I just chaged the camera like in 1st screen.

PS Is there a way to hide player? Make him unvisible?

Well the opcode for making an actor invisible doesn't work on the player for some reason so I don't know. Maybe there's a way around this. What's it for?

If I'll hide a player then I'll make the camera view very relative to the camera on 2nd screen)
I know is pissible to make some ped invisible (in 3ds max, change the texture visibility to 0%), and then change the player skin.
But I hope that there's any better way to do this.

I think that's a good idea, but I'm confused about how hiding the player will make the camera more like the 2nd screen. Can you elaborate on this? blush.gif
